Radio Frequency (RF) Furnaces

Induction Furnaces

Induction heating provides very focussed and precise heating of electrically conductive metallic components. As with plastics that are sealed with RF welders, RF Induction Heating uses the material properties to generate heat within the material.

RF magnetic fields are applied to the metallic component, which leads to electric currents flowing within the metal itself.  These electric currents cause localised heating which can be precisely controlled, both in temperature and location to gain the desired weld.

Stanelco Induction Heating products are used in a variety of applications; a good example is a client sealing the cap and base of a plastic medical unit by applying RF Induction to a metal collar within the cap.  The seal produced is precise and suitably robust for the medical world.  The same operational approach has been applied in assembling plastic domestic kettles using Stanelco products.
